Management
NMMI’s management is organized at four levels
which include its Policy Advisory Board, Industry
Sourcing Advisory Panel, Management Group, and
Engineering Group.
Policy Advisory Board
The convening policy advisory board is represented
by corporate-appointed representatives of Founding
Corporate Members, NMMI President and CEO, and
other persons with special expertise. This group
will elect a permanent Policy Board in 2007.
Industry
Sourcing Advisory Panel (ISAPs) –
The role of the ISAPs is to assist the NMMI
Management Group and the NMMI Engineering Group
in staying abreast of Industry
Groups.
Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
for supplier performance capability and capacity
alignment with the practices of selected Industry
Groups by MSME
Improvement Roadmap Areas.
IT alignment criteria for Stage 4 type Supply
Chains
Develop input for both
Corporation’s and Industry Group’s
MSME Performance Reports and
Dashboard.
Management Group
The Management Group is represented by individuals
with diverse experiences and backgrounds that
support the organization’s growth and development.
Engineering Group
NMMI maintains a: (1) core manufacturing management
team of industrial engineers, information systems
engineers, equipment specialist, contract specialist,
and management specialist; (2) contracting relationship
with the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension
Partnership (SCMEP) which allows NMMI to extend
its staff for industrial and quality engineers,
and (3) an extended contract through the SCMEP
for assistance in coordinating with its network
of over 3,000 industrial, quality, and management
specialists throughout the U.S. At all levels
the NMMI Approach
is used.
