NMMI is developing benchmarked Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Supply Chain Information Technology (IT) Alignment criteria for MSMEs (and other suppliers). Industry Sourcing Advisory Panels (ISAPs) assist in developing Surveying, Assessment, and Performance Benchmarking tools used in this process for discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, fabrication & assemble, mill/roll processing, batch processing, packaging, etc and Order to Build Modes such as build-to stock, build/Assemble-to-order, etc,as applicable in the following Industry Groups.

ISAPs support NMMI’s development of performance metrics for MSME Performance Benchmarking Reports and Supply Chain Alignment Reports. Based on primary benchmarking research and collaboration with Industry Group ISAPs, NMMI will benchmark MSME performance and provide to Corporations reports on such alignment with:

Based on benchmarking criteria, NMMI, in collaboration with Corporations participating on the ISAP, will maintain comparative performance information on MSMEs by percentage quartile ranking.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPLY CHAIN MAMAGEMENT ALIGNMENT REPORTS

Where the Supply Chain Council (SCC) primarily supports large Corporations’ whole supply chain management practices in the areas of Planning, Sourcing, Making , and Delivery. NMMI supports MSME functionality in the four Supply Chain Stages as prescribed by the SCC summarized as:

The manufacturing information and information systems requirements for management, business systems visualization, and data reporting, commensurate with Corporations’ Supply Chain Management practices, are interpreted from the supplier’s perspective, benchmarked and used for MSME benchmarking. When a MSME satisfactorily meets Capability and Capacity KPI requirements for an Industry Group and also meets the metrics determined by NMMI and ISAPs for Stage 4 functionality, it is recognized by NMMI as QSME™ for Quality Small Manufacturing Enterprise.
