OUTREACH

All NMMI communication and education programs will include outreach to MSMEs and other national minority organizations that have interest in strengthening the minority manufacturing base such as:

  • The U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce
  • The Latin American Management Association
  • Pan-Asian Chamber of Commerce
  • National Center for American Indian Economic Development
  • National Native American Purchasing Association
NMMI InfoSource
Disseminated electronically, the Manufacturing InfoSource™ is produced in two parts – The National InfoSource Newsletter and the InfoSource Knowledge Portal. Through its channel partner, NMMI produces monthly content for manufacturers, publishes its national version, provides a customizable platform for Corporate Member use in communicating to its suppliers, and provides a service for NMSDC Regional Councils to customize the InfoSource for communications with MBEs. For all, it is a highly effective tool for: (a) building better customer relations; (b) reducing marketing and communications cost; (c) maximizing exposure; and (d) delivering customer satisfaction.

National and Regional Training Events

NMMI's 2006-2007 National Education Training Series will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. November 15-16, 2006 and April 4-6, 2007. NMMI also conducts “NMMI Difference” presentations at NMSDC regional events such as that of the Chicago Minority Business Development Council (CMBDC), PA-NJ-DE Minority Suppliers Development Council, MD-DC Minority Development Council and others to educate MSMEs on its programs and services.
